‘Satyanveshi’ Bansal Will Tour the District

The lack of accurate reporting in Delhi about the organization’s ‘true picture’ became virtually evident in internal BJP discussions. And to cure that ‘disease’, Sunil Bansal, Acting Central Observer of Bengal BJP, and Observer Mangal Pandey will hold a meeting on the ground floor themselves.

Revelation from the meeting

According to sources, organizational discussions on the second day of Bengal BJP’s crucial two-day organizational meeting revealed that there is virtually no BJP beyond the Mandal level. What the committee has, in all the books. It does not exist in reality. After that, Pandey said, this time they will go to the district to organize meetings. State leaders will be with them. In this situation, the party has taken initiative to change the structure of the organization.

The party’s two general secretaries, Locket Chattopadhyay and Agnimitra Pal have been given the charge of Mahila and Yuva Morcha. Another General Secretary Deepak Barman has been given charge of OBC Morcha. Ranaghat South MLA Mukutmani Adhikari, Khudiram Tudu, and Maphuza Khatun have been given the charge of Scheduled Caste, Janjati, and Minority Morcha respectively.

Various roles

Changes have also been made in the posts of observers and convenors of various zones and departments. Locket was made observer of the Red Bengal. Falguni Patra has been made the convener of Navadwip zone. Agnimitra has become the observer of the Kolkata zone. Jagannath Chatterjee has been convened. Councilor Sajal Ghosh has been convened for Kolkata Division. Howrah Hooghly Midnipur Zone MP Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato has been appointed Purulia MP. Deepak has become the convener of the North Bengal zone.

Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh has become the observer of the Malda division. Raju Banerjee is notably left out. Who is still the state vice president of the party?

According to sources, in the meeting, the leaders asked the party to move towards movement on local issues before the panchayat elections. According to a leader, if the party is to be strengthened at the lower level, there should be movement on local issues. Crowding in Calcutta will not make the party strong in the booth. To make that plan, it can also be highlighted in the district tour of the leadership. In this context, BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar said, “After Diwali, we will also go on a district tour with the central observers. We will hold meetings. Will try to find out what is the difficulty in working on the lower floor. Opinions will be heard on how to plan and move forward in the panchayat. The central leadership will advise us on that.”

Locket’s decision to visit Bengal

After the first meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food Consumers and Mass Distribution, the newly appointed BJP MP Locket Chattopadhyay decided to start the state tour from West Bengal. The chairman of the consumer and public distribution committee has decided to go to West Bengal to investigate the various problems, ration corruption, and poor quality of food grains in the state’s public distribution system.
