India And The US Are On The Way To Creating Two Of The Biggest Consequential Partners In Trade

According to a news article published in NDTV, a top official from the US tells NDTV that tying up with India makes it the most consequential in the world. It is back to business again between India and the US. Two of these great nations are about to become two of the most consequential and biggest partners in trade across the world.  The US top official Donald Lu has said that this business tie-up shall help both India and the US in a big way. Speaking about China’s aggression against India across the borders Lu has told that the US has not witnessed China making any friendly steps.

During an interview with NDTV, Lu informed that the Secretary of State in the United States, Antony Blinken shall be traveling to India this year in the month of March to attend a meeting of the foreign ministers in the G20. He shall also participate in the Raisina Dialogue multilateral conference by the Indian policymakers.

Ajit Doval, who happens to be the national advisor of securities in India is about to go to the US within the upcoming two weeks to deliver on emerging and critical technologies. Speaking about the preference for the trade program of the US, Mr. Lu has said that, the status of beneficiary for India is a very big thing. The GSP grants duty-free imports over thousands of products that belong to the countries that are beneficiaries.

Congress in the US has not passed yet the legislation for GSP. Both the US and India have been working together for some time now so that it becomes easier for India to realign for meeting all the standards when it is passed by Congress.

Donald Lu has also said that for a long time now, the US has been clear about its policies for India and China. The US also wanted to resolve the issues at the border between India and China, bilaterally. But he also specified that China has not made good efforts for getting this issue resolved. Lu says contrary to what would have been a friendly move, China made an aggressive approach across the northeast sector of India. In the year 2020, when the clash of Galwan Valley occurred the US had been the first country to criticize this move of China. The US had stood by India then and it shall stand by India now as well.

About the sharing of military technology, Mr. Lu has stated that the US is going to give India the thirty most powerful and upgraded armed drones. The US has not shared this yet with many countries. He also has left a hint that in the US a permanent ambassador to India may be appointed soon. Since the system for it is a little slow in the US so it might take some time for that to happen. He hopes that soon Eric Garcetti shall be appointed for that post.
