An article published today in The Times Of India, states that a data analysis collected from a hundred and fifty-four thousand veterans in the US who have suffered Covid shows some concerning results. Patients who are suffering Covid are more prone to getting multiple cardiovascular disorders. The study further enlists the complications such as dysrhythmias, cerebrovascular disorders, non-ischemic and ischemic disease of the heart, heart failure, myocarditis, pericarditis, thromboembolic disease, and many more issues. Studies show that for every thousand people suffering from Covid, about 45.29 percent of them had complications with the heart.
People Who Are At Risk
It has been found that those patients who have been severely affected by Covid, had developed complications in the heart. Here the level of severity is determined based on if the patient recovered at home, was admitted to a hospital, or was admitted to the ICU. But surely this does not mean that other are beyond the risk. The study states that the factor of risk is more prominent in people who were hospitalized. It also stated that other risks of heart disease were based on age, gender, level of hypertension, smoking habits, kidney disease, diabetes, and many other factors.
