Kochi: The United Skill Development Corporation (USDC), one of the leading organisations working in the field of skill development in the country, has welcomed proposals made for skill development in the union government’s interim budget. In a press release, USDC stated that it is overwhelming to note the Skill India Mission’s remarkable achievements revealed by the Finance Minister.

USDC Co-founder Tom Joseph stated that the collaboration between higher education institutions, skilling partners, and EdTech firms has been instrumental in upskilling and reskilling the youth. He welcomed the proactive stance taken by the government in promoting STEM education after recognizing its importance in driving innovation.

Tom Joseph observed that the recognition of new universities will strengthen the EdTech sector and online education to thrive and the Rs 1 trillion corpus for technology research are significant step towards fulfilling the aspirations of the youth. He said that the investment will not only benefit the economy but also pave the way for a technologically skilled workforce which is essential for the future growth and competitiveness of the nation.
