Corona Infection Is Increasing In India

On December 25th, a young man from Agra who returned from China was diagnosed with corona infection. Four foreigners tested positive for corona at Gaya airport yesterday. Two people from Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur have been infected with Corona at Kolkata Airport. 12 people returning from abroad have been diagnosed with Kempegowda infection in Bangalore. Till December 24, 2867 passengers from abroad were tested for Corona. 12 of them were diagnosed with infection. 

In this situation, a ‘mock drill’ was conducted in all health centers across the country yesterday. This event is to check corona preparedness. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia himself will be present at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. He said that health ministers of all states will also participate in this exercise.

RT-PCR tests were carried out on foreign travellers in Gaya. Four people were diagnosed with the infection there. They have been kept in isolation in a hotel. They came to visit Buddha Gaya. Gaya District Health Officer Ranjan Singh said that the condition of the four infected persons is not serious. Appropriate measures are being taken to prevent the spread of Corona.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia held a virtual meeting with the representatives of the Indian Medical Association yesterday in an alarming situation regarding the corona virus. Hundreds of doctors were present. He appealed to all the doctors to join the fight against Corona.

Joining the meeting, IM’s West Bengal Secretary-Physician Shantanu Sen said that the outbreak of Corona, the increase in the number of infected, the method of fighting against the epidemic is not the same in all the states. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss with each state while taking any decision on the issue of Corona. According to sources, the Union Health Minister also said that if any state has limitations in the development of medical infrastructure, adequate cooperation will be provided. And he also assured various discussions to deal with Corona again and again in the coming days.

Mandavia appealed yesterday to follow the Covid rules and not to spread rumours related to Corona. Mandavia appealed to the doctors to provide correct information.

Today in the case of ‘mock drill’ in all health centers, the issues of adequate beds, number of all health workers including doctors, nurses, number of ambulances, situation of corona testing, medical oxygen and telemedicine services will be examined in the hospital to deal with Covid.

Meanwhile, a directive has been issued to Karnataka yesterday that it is mandatory to wear masks in restaurants, bars, theatres, schools, colleges. The state has fixed the deadline for New Year celebrations till 1 am. Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar said there is nothing to panic. From now on, there are some things to be careful about. Pregnant women, the elderly, children and those with physical problems have been advised to avoid gatherings. Sanitizers, masks are also emphasized for compliance with Covid rules. Apart from this, the health minister said that 2 percent random corona test will be conducted at Bengaluru and Mangalore airports in case of passengers coming from abroad.
