RRC Recruitment 2024: Applicants invited for 4,096 Railway Apprentice Jobs

The Railway Recruitment Cell under the Northern Railway zone has come out with a recruitment notification for filling up 4,096 apprentice posts across the divisions, units, and workshops. The online applications started on 01-09-2024 on the official website of RRC, and the last date to apply is 16-09-2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: A candidate is required to have completed 10th standard/ SSC/ Matriculation with not less than 50% marks and an ITI certificate in the recognized trade applicable to the post.

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 15 years, and the upper age limit is 24 years as of September 16, 2024. Age relaxations apply.

Reservation Details

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST): If the number of reserved category candidates joining a particular institution is inadequate, then the rest of the seats will be offered to General/Unreserved category candidates.
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): The remaining number of seats in the OBC quota will be filled to the General/Unreserved category aspirants.
  • Ex-Servicemen/Family of Deceased or Disabled Ex-Servicemen/ Serving Personnel: Sanction of concession to the deserving students belongs to the wards of disabled/deceased defense personnel, ex-servicemen, and serving defense personnel as per Govt. of India rules.
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): PwBD candidates for appearing in the examination shall be required to produce a disability certificate and be fit for the notified trade.

Application Fee

The candidates are required to deposit ₹100 as a processing fee for each application submitted online, and this amount is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The merit list will be drawn on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the Matriculation and ITI examinations. There will be no written examination or interview. In case the candidates are tied, then the one with the most years of experience will be considered.
